There is a confusing thing about #Schein. It clearly denies the cross petitions brought by Archer & White, No. 19-1080. However, in the grant of 10-963, the order list clearly says the "petitions," plural, are granted. There was just one petition under 10-963, and the other two cross petitions were under the denied order docket number. Typo?

It's loaded for me -- "Today,
we must decide whether an employer can fire someone
simply for being homosexual or transgender. The answer
is clear. An employer who fires an individual for being homosexual or transgender fires that person for traits or actions it would not have questioned in members of a different
sex. Sex plays a necessary and undisguisable role in the
decision, exactly what Title VII forbids."
